June 22, 1977, Peter Laughner guitarist with Pere Ubu died at the age of 24. Peters addiction to drugs and alcohol forced his exit from Pere Ubu in June of 1976. Peter was a gifted guitarist and writer, he was once described as the single biggest catalyst in Cleveland's alternative rock scene. The official cause of death was acute pancreatitis.
