This day in music history.

December 15, 1943, At the age of 39, aboard an eastbound train in the vicinity of Kansas City, Fats Waller died of pneumonia . He was born Thomas Wright Waller in 1904 in New Jersey. Fats is considered to be one of the greatest jazz piano players ever. He played with some of the all time great blues and Jazz musicians and also had a successful solo carrier including the hits "Ain't Misbehavin", "Your Feet's Too Big" and my personal favorite "The Reefer Song".
