October 29, 1971, In Macon, Ga. at the age of 24, Duane Allman is killed when he crashes his Harley Sportster. While trying to avoid a truck that had stopped in front of him Duane hit the back of the truck, the bike landed on top of him and he died from massive internal injuries.
