October 28, 2004, Courtney Love was ordered to stand trial on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon (a beer bottle and a candle). Courtney had broken into the house of an old boyfriend and found Kristin King sleeping on the sofa. King testified that Courtney was "vicious" and "erratic" she said Love sat on her, pulled her hair and pinched her breast. Love was eventually ordered to pay an undisclosed amount and was sentenced to 18-months probation and rehab.
