This day in music history.

July 18, 1966, Bobby Fuller was found dead in his car in Los Angles aged 22. The official verdict was death by gasoline asphyxiation. Police labeled it a suicide, but there are many conspiracy theory's, including one that involves Frank Sinatra putting a hit out on Bobby. The Bobby Fuller Four had a top ten hit (No.9) in 1966 with the song "I Fought The Law" written by Sonny Curtis of Buddy Holly's Crickets and was also covered by The Clash.
I Fought The Law
A' Breakin' rocks in the
hot sun
I Fought the Law and the
law won
I Fought the Law and the
law won
I needed money, 'cause
I had none
I Fought the Law and the
law won
I Fought the Law and the
law won
I left my baby and I feel so bad
I guess my race is run
Well, she's the best girl
I've ever had
I Fought the Law and the
law won
I Fought the Law and the
law won
Robbin' people with a
ZIP gun
I Fought the Law and the
law won
I Fought the Law and the
law won
I miss my baby and the
good fun
I Fought the Law and the
law won
I Fought the Law and the
law won...
