January 13, 1979, The Y.M.C.A. files a lawsuit against the Village People over their song, "Y.M.C.A." The lawsuit claims that the song is attracting homosexual cops and cowboys to the Y.M.C.A. for the purpose of sexual activities. The suit was later dropped when the record company points out that all cops and cowboys are homosexual.
