This day in music history.

December 24, 1965, "Rubber Soul" by The Beatles goes gold, two-and-a-half weeks after its release. The record includes, "I've Just Seen A Face," "Norwegian Wood," "Nowhere Man", "Girl," "Michelle," "In My Life", "You Won't See Me" and "I'm Looking Through You". Rubber Soul is seen by many as a turning point in the Beatles career, marking their progression to a more serious style of music.
In My Life by The Beatles
There are places I'll remember
All my life
though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends
I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life
I love you more
