This day in music history.

December 21, 1952, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" by Jimmy Boyd goes to number one. Jimmy was only 10 years old when he recorded this song. When it was released some people thought the portrayal of a married woman having an affair was pornographic. The song was banned in some cities. A closer listen implies that the man kissing mommy is actually the dad. Also banned that year was "Rudolph The Penis Nosed reindeer" by Barbra Streisand, "Frosty The Slut" by Sammy Davis Junior and "Blow Me For Christmas Baby" by Bing Crosby.
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause by Jimmy Boyd
I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe last night.
She didn't see me creep
down the stairs to have a peep;
She thought that I was tucked up
in my bedroom fast asleep.
Then, I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white;
Oh, what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night
