This day in music history.

November 12, 1968, Donovan released the song "Mellow Yellow". The song is produced by Mickie Most and arranged by John Paul Jones, it is said that Paul McCartney whispers the "quite rightly" part. The song would reach number 2 in the US and a year later reach number 8 in the UK.
Mellow Yellow by Donovan.
I'm just mad about Saffron.
A-Saffron's mad about me.
I'm-a just mad about Saffron.
She's just mad about me.
I'm just mad about Fourteen.
A-Fourteen's mad about me.
I'm-a just mad about-a Fourteen.
A-She's just mad about me.
Born-a high forever to fly.
Wind-a velocity nil.
Born-a high forever to fly.
If you want your cup, I will fill.
They call me Mellow Yellow,
Quite rightly.
They call me Mellow Yellow,
Quite rightly.
They call me Mellow Yellow.
So mellow yellow.
Electrical banana's gonna be a sudden craze.
Electrical banana's bound to be the very next phase.
They call it Mellow Yellow,
Quite rightly....
