September 29, 1989, While riding his Harley from L.A. to the Grand Canyon, Bruce Springsteen stops at a small bar in Prescott, Arizona. After a few beers he sits in with the house band (The Mile High Band) for an hour long jam. They played some old Elvis and a few of Springsteen's songs. Bruce overhears one of the bartenders (Brenda Techanec) talking about her problems paying her hospital bills. A week later the women gets a check in the mail from Bruce for a hundred thousand dollars.
