August 22, 1978, Sid Vicious made his last live stage appearance when he appeared with Rat Scabies, Glen Matlock and Nancy Spungen at London's Electric Ballroom. Sid was wasted and everyone in attendance thought it was one of the worst shows they had ever seen. In the audience: Elvis Costello, Blondie, Joan Jett , The Slits and Captain Sensibl A month and a half later Sid would stab his girlfriend to death. Three months after that Sid would be dead from a heroin overdose.
