This day in music history.

August 13, 1980, Four masked invaders brake into Todd Rundgren's New York home. Todd his girlfriend and 3 other "House guests" are tied up and gagged. The burglars proceed to steal paintings, stereo equipment and other valuables. Reportedly, one of the thieves sang some of Todds songs ("I Saw the Light" and "Can We Still Be friends") while they carried stuff out to their get- away car.
Excerpt from "Can We Still Be Friends" by Todd Rundgren
Let’s admit we made a mistake
But can we still be friends
Heartbreak’s never easy to take
But can we still be friends
It’s a strange, sad affair
Sometimes seems like we just don’t care
Don’t waste time feeling hurt
We’ve been through hell together
Can we still get together sometime
You know life will still go on and on and on
We awoke from our dream
Things are not always what they seem
Memories linger on
It’s like a sweet, sad old song
