This day in music history.

August 9, 1986, Queen gave their last ever live performance when they appeared at Knebworth Park Hertfordshire. It sold out within 2 hours, and over 120,000 fans packed the park. The band flew into the park in a specially painted helicopter featuring the characters from the 'Kind of Magic' album cover. It was the final date on the 'Magic Tour', and the biggest audience so far. It caused one of the biggest traffic jams in history. Freddie Mercury teased the capacity crowd hinting that Queen might be breaking up, only to tell them that it was just a silly rumor, and that Queen would be together until "we fucking well die, I'm sure!".
