This day in music history.

May 30, 1975, Alice Cooper's "Welcome To My Nightmare" album went gold almost one month to the day after the ABC TV prime time special "The Nightmare" was broadcast. Co-starring Vincent Price (Price would win an Emmy for his part) the highlight for most people was Alice singing to a dead women he keeps in the refrigerator. In one verse Alice says " One thing No lie Ethyl's frigid as an Eskimo pie She's cool in bed Well she oughta be 'cuz Ethyl's dead". At the gold album ceremony Alice bit the head off a chicken.
