May 23, 1964, Elle Fitzgerald became the first person besides the Beatles to have a hit with a Beatles song when 'Can't Buy Me Love' entered the UK chart. It was such a success that Elle would go on to cover over 50 Beatle songs including 'Magical Mystery Tour', 'Yellow submarine', 'Helter Skelter' and ' Revolution 9'.
