May 21, 1955, Having been discovered by Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry walked into the Chess recording studio with an idea for a song called "Ida Red." By the time he walked out he had recorded the top 10 hit, "Maybellene". Chuck would go on to have 7 top 10 hits including his only number 1 song 'My Ding-a-Ling' which he wrote about his penis.
