May 12, 1971, Mick Jagger and Bianca Perez Morena de Macias were married. The civil ceremony is held at the town hall in St Tropez. Mick holds up the wedding for an hour and a half demanding the police clear out over 100 reporters that have surrounded the building. Police refuse saying the reporters have a right to be there. When the bride and groom show up the police and reporters scuffle and there are several minor injuries. The reception is held at the the Café des Arts and was attended by guests whom had been flown from London on a chartered jet. Besides other members of the Stones, guests included Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton and Stephen Stills.
Together Mick and Bianca would have a daughter (Jade Jagger). The marriage would last until 1980 but Bianca would be Micks main topic in his lyrics for the next 20 years.
