April 27, 1974, During a concert by Steve Miller and Boz Scaggs in Richmond, Virginia a riot erupted. The violence started when police tried to arrest some kids for smoking marijuana. The battle raged for 4 hours and when it was over 76 people had been arrested with scores on both sides injured. Steve Miller later said " Hey man, I'm not into riots. Its not cool, I'm the Pompatus of Love man".
