April 26, 1977, 'Studio 54' opens its doors for the first time. The clubs interior is decorated with black metallic walls, mirrored ceilings, neon sculptures and spot lit dance floors. At the height of the nights festivities Rod Stewart stands on a table waving a bag of cocaine and yells "Disco will never die!"
