This day in music history.

April 21, 1947, James Jewel Osterberg is born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In the late 60s he would change his name to Iggy Pop and in 1968 he formed the greatest punk rock band ever 'The Stooges'. Although he earned notoriety for his wild concert performances Iggy and the Stooges put out a few albums that will stand the test of time as some of the purest (and fun) Rock and Roll ever recorded.
