April 17, 1960, Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent were in a car crash while taking a taxi to London Airport. Eddie dies of severe head injuries later that night, he was 21. Vincent was injured in the accident. At the time of the accident Cochran's latest release
'Three Steps to Heaven' was climbing up the charts.
